Medical Protective Delays Payment Requirements, Suspends Cancellations Due to North Carolina Emergency Order

August 31, 2011 – As mandated by the North Carolina Major Disaster Declaration, and in accordance with Bulletin 11-B-09 issued by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Medical Protective will temporarily postpone all premium payments for insureds in affected counties. In addition, a temporary suspension of cancellations and non-renewals for the insureds will also be in effect.

Affected counties include:
Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Duplin, Edgecombe, Gates, Greene, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Johnston, Jones, Lenoir, Martin, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, Vance, Warren, Washington, Wilson (Pender and Wayne added 09/13/11).
