Medical Protective Suspends Cancellations Due to KY Executive Order
March 22, 2012 – in response to recent severe storms, flash floods and tornadoes and in accordance with Bulletin 2012-196 issued by the Kentucky Commissioner of Insurance and Governor of Kentucky, Medical Protective will provide a moratorium for cancellation of any insurance policy in effect for any policyholder directly affected by the natural disasters and suspension of any penalty attached to late payment therein.
This "moratorium" is not a waiver; it is only an extension of the grace period in which to pay the premium. Please note that this applies only to non-renewals /cancellations attributed to a failure to pay premiums directly as a result of the storms that occurred in late February and early March.
